Gentlemen:

Merry Christmas to all!

Yesterday I installed a set of MacGregor door seals (that I purchased in July) in my BE. They fit great, hold tight, trim up cleanly/neatly. I highly recommend these to anyone who is considering new door seals.

Got several samples from MacGregor. Which ones did you fit? I'm leaning towards some fuzzy's with a single curved lip.

Kurt.

I installed Martin MacGregor's "Bristleflex" door seals on my Midget, in the correct Autumn Leaf color. They are perfect and look great. Door gaps are good and they couldn't be easier to install. These are the ones to get IMHO.

Note: if you can salvage the soft metal end caps from your old seals, do so. These can be fitted onto the MacGregor seals to render a "correct" look for the seal end up near the dashboard.

Call Martin if you have questions. He's very knowledgeable (a
"Qualified British Trim Engineer"), professional and polite on the phone.

Let us know . . .

I can't tell you exactly the type I ordered. They are fuzzy one one strip and rubber that goes on the outside toward the door.

I contacted MacGregor, gave them the year of my BE and told them the interior color and relied on them to send me the right kind. My invoice doesn't have a part number.

As noted above, these fit perfectly and are SIMPLE to install.

Thank's. The ones I'm leaning towards from Martin have just a single curved lip and not the hollow bulb as was fitted originaly to my 65. I'll have to give him a call to see what he recommends. Are they the ones you fitted? Sounds like it from your description Mike. Mark it sounds like you fitted the bulb type.

Kurt.

Kurt, mine are the "Bristleflex" brand that MacGregor sells. That's what I installed. They simply fit right onto the lip in the door sills.

Relatively expensive . . . but good. :yesnod:
