Not one to appreciate Spitfires, I have to admit that when I saw the Macao Spitfire, as featured on the cover of The Vintage Triumph magazine, it has the lines and style of a unique car, one I would love to own.

Ah yes, quite possibly THE HOLY GRAIL for us fans of Triumph's SC (small car) range!

THE Macao Spitfire has quite the history, starting out literally as a one-off open car based closely on "Le Mans" Spitfire specs, then spending time under the able hands of Kas Kastner as a bit of a test bed for development of the 2L GT6 motor for racing, then as a private racer and/or road car...and ultimately back home to the UK. The car currently is owned by David Pearson of Canley Classics.
