M400 Skycar, You gotta check this out...

In Clive Cussler's book, Atlantis Found there is a scene in which the hero, Dirk Pitt, takes a hair-raising ride through some mountainous canyons in, of all things, a Moller Skycar.

The "skycar" has been a fantasy for as long as I can remember. Somehow that guy manages to get his project on every "new idea" show since "That's Incredible" years ago. He's managed to gain support and interest by publicizing his hover-tests, but never really seems to explain why he always without fail requires a tether /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif He also never explains what happens if one of the four ducted fans or engines fails in-flight...and this is designed to be the skycar of the future that everyone can have in their garage? Yeahhhhh

Ok I vented /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
