Thanks to Basil's prodding, I am introducing myself. I live in New Mexico and own a '60 Bugeye and two '73 Stags (hoping to make one driveable).

I originally bought the Bugeye in San Diego in '83 with intent of giving it to my Dad, but he bought a TR-3 in the meantime. I was T-boned in an intersection and had to buy another car to replace the bonnet. Got married and moved to Pensacola (Navy pilot). Sold the Bugeye when I left active duty in '87. My wife bought it back for me from the guy I sold it to 5 years later in Corpus Christi!

My blog about the Stag project is at https://triumphstagproject.blogspot.com/
Please visit and post any helpful comments! Thanks, Ross Kells

And as it turns out, Ross is practically a neighbor, living in Edgewood, but on the opposite side of town from me. And Ross, Judy said she knows you as well. We'll all have to do brunch one of these weekends!

Hi, Ross, and welcome to the Forum!!

Thank you all for the warm reception. Basil, you'll have to come to one of our local Healey meetings in the summertime at the Greenside Cafe!

Hi There Ross,

"Welcome" to the "BCF": It must be nice to be neighbors of the "Boss":

Interesting story about the Bugeye. Do you still have her?

Have Fun Here,

Russ

I may just do that - especially now that my favorite restaurant, Kokopelli's, up on north 14 has closed! (I almost cried when I found out)

 Hi Ross, I know who you are... lol. And as far as being the 'boss's neighbor' toysrrus, I'll talk to you about that. Just kidding, Basil is a really stand-up guy and we are better for knowing him.

(Now do I get extra rally points rather than brownie points for that?)

Hi toysrrus, yes I still have the Bugeye. In fact we took it to San Diego for the Healey Conclave last summer (along with judow's Agatha, who won top honors). We also went to Carlisle for the Sprite Jubilee celebrating the car's 50th anniversary.

 Nice Stag blog. Well written but I wouldn't have expected any less of you. Work on!
