T-Series Lucas m133 headlamp?

I have been trying to figure out to assemble this headlamp. It is used on a Morgan 3 wheel but also on other British cars.
My problem is the retainer clip that holds the rim closed. The closer T handle hooks into the is retainer clip but the retainer must be held in somehow. I have the spring that is supposed to hold it bet can't make it work.
Any suggestions please.

Thanks Jim. I understand the W springs that hold the bulb in the rim. My rim is a split rim with a retainer clip the holds the two ends together. There is a spring that somehow holds that retainer clip in place.
I'm not sure what cars this light was used on but was hoping maybe the MG T series used it.
