Question about the wire gage on these low-tensions leads. One distributor has an original low-tension lead (brown color), which is a very fine wire, and very flexible.

The aftermarket, purchased from a big California Supplier, has a much heavier wire. I wonder how important the lower resistant wire is in the big picture?

Since the wire has to flex as the advance plate moves, I'd prefer the original wire. They're available from the Distributor Doctor in the UK. Ought to be available in the US.

British Car Specialists carry some Distributor Doctor's parts I believe. You might ask David or Mike at BCS if the lead you have will be an issue or not.
