All,

Has anyone used these before and mounted them on a TR4/4A/250? If so how did you mount them?

Randy,

I found this post where you had a badge bar from Revington and looks like you had a similar pair of fog/driving lights. Did you get this fully installed and what do you think of it now? Would you still recommend it?

Scott-

Sorry for the delay, I missed this one. In fact, I've not installed that yet, its one of those parts stashed away for future use when I finally redo the TR4, and probably add the surrey top at the same time.

Other than not installing it, I am impressed with its construction - very good welds, very sturdy, and one of the few bargains relatively speaking from Revington given the exchange rate.

I had forgotten these were advertised for the 4A as well - so it would be a clean install for you for those lamps, with no drilling required.

Okay, sort-of on topic....I have Lucas FogRangers on my car, factory installed. I put new bulbs in them, and have actually tried them in fog......my personal opinion is they are worthless as fog lights.
I've had the big, sealed-beam yellow ones on several cars over the years that DO work.

I mean, they look nice, are "period" pieces, but to use them for what they were designed for?

Randy,

Thanks for the info. I'll look into buying one since I haven't seen many other options and I really like how it appears to mount and look.

I can't recall where I picked up the standalone ones, but the lenses in my third picture came from a Jaguar in a junkyard that I picked up for "spares".

I'll admit that I'm drawn to them for the looks and am not too concerned about functionality. Plan is to use them with the second TR4A along with alloy knock-off rims and a Surrey top but keep my original TR4A more traditional with the soft top and wire wheels.

Scott, I love the "old" Ranger series almost as much as the SLR/SFT576 series. Just had to say that; I've nothing else valuable to contribute to this discussion!

Andy,

I had to go search for those and I agree! Randy's appears to be one of those doesn't it?
