Lubrication of Window Regulator Hardware

I'm reassembling the doors in my TVR 2500M and the windows are very stiff (to the point where I use a wrench to raise & lower them because I'm afraid of breaking the winder). The previous owner cleaned the window hardware so there is no grease anywhere on it. I've sprayed some aerosol lithium lubricant into the winder mechanism and it helped a bit, but not enough. Is there a proper procedure for lubricating the crank mechanism? What lubricants are supposed to be used in there? Also, what grease should be used on the track at the base of the glass (where the end of the regulator slides)? Lithium grease (non-aerosol)?

I always spray my MG regulators with white lithium grease before I put them back in - after I clean all the old gunked up grease off!

Sound like the mechanism (or the glass) may be binding. The passenger glass on my MGB was binding so bad I broke the plastic winder (thanks to Tony for a very new looking used one)... It was actually the window channel out of alignment on mine. Losened one "track" bolt - rolled it up and down a few times - and got it back to being smooth again.
