TR2/3/3A Lower Inner Wishbone Bushings

Here's the deal...

The original bushings for the inner lower wishbones were rubber inserts. Of course, we all know Standard later modified that bushing to be a nylon insert. I have an issue with one of the lower strut forgings, in that it has some rust in the hole for the inner bushing. I ordered the bushing kit, and it came with the "updated" nylon style inner bushings. With the rust, the hole in the forging is slightly bigger, so the nylon is loose in the strut. I think the original rubber bushing style would fit perfectly and take up the slight gap that the nylon cannot.

SO, does anyone know of a source for original style rubber inner bushings? And, if not, does anyone have a line on a left rear/right front lower strut forging?

The lower rubber bushings were the same as the upper rubber bushings. Just order (8) P/N 102228 from TRF. Or you could try their PN 102228/U, which is a polyurethane replacement that will probably last better and should fit the same.

Shouldn't be hard at all to find some used lower A-arms in good condition; I'm sure Marv has some for sale, or Ted at https://www.tsimportedautomotive.com/. If not, PM me and I'll dig into my stash.

Much obliged again, Randall. Same as the tops...that's what I needed to know. I can check the fit with the uppers that came in the bushing set and decide whether to look for another strut after that.
