Two of my four lower front suspension control arms, on my current project, another 4A, have some rust pitting inside the rear bushing seat. I gently honed and sanded each one, but the pitting remains in one spot on each of the two control arms, may about 1/2 inch about the circumference. Any big deal? Forget about it?

Does the nylon bushing still fit well? If so you should be okay. It appears to me that most of the wear in this location is between the steel bushing and the nylon bushing. All of the ones that I have disassembled have shown wear into the nylon bushing. One other check you might look at is the straightness of the control arm. I have noticed a number of ones that I have removed to be slightly bent.
