Dear all,
Drove up the road today to visit my buddy David Hayden, three towns over. Getting ready for new weekend's N.O. car show. Dave (a helicopter mechanic by trade) has a TR6, a restored TR3 w/ GT6 engine, a concours TR4A, a late model Jag (to appease his wife), several MGBGT's (not running), a TR8, sold his two Miatas and the 911, and.......he come home with a Lotus Europa! For those unfamiliar with the Europa, it is a plastic-bodied large go-cart that should scare the daylights out of you. What a screamer!

Dave has it worse than most of us...

Good times! It seems pretty easy to find a reasonably priced Europa. I've seen 'em for about 4-5k for a rough, but solid car. Just last night I stopped and took a quick look at a Lotus Elite I passed on a car lot. (on about 60th and SE Foster for any Portland area people that might be interested). I had never seen an Elite in person until then. That thing looks straight out of the Jetsons!
