I just watched this video on the Lotus Exige S, and got a couple of good chuckles out of it and the TopGear crew.

Enjoy:

Top Gear - Lotus Exige S

I just watched another video. This one is on the Lotus Carlton. Personally, I've never heard of it, but it seems to be a Vauxhal with Lotus tuned engine and suspension. Neat car.

OMG! LoL The Lotus driver was being very vocal about how scarey and "dangerous" it was entering turn 1 with the Ferrari and Porsche on either side of him.

I thought that was great when the Lotus passed the Ferrari mid-turn and pointed at the Ferrari driver and laughed! heheheheh

that was a great find kenny, I think I want more than ever now too! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Lotus Carltons are sweet! Total sleeper sedan from the late eighties early nineties.

I never thought of a Europa as a supercar, but beating all those other supercars (2 lamboghinis, 3 ferraris, pantera, makes a statement. The big wing didn't even look out of place on it. I kind of wonder if the 308 started having problems though, as he was falling back, and the 368 BB even passed him just before the finishline, and nearly caught the lotus. 2nd is awsome though - especially considering it has the smallest engine of all of them.

I've always been intrigued by the europa, but that put the nail in the coffin for me... It's next on the list... just got bumped over a Volvo 1800!

The Europa is definitely an interesting car. I never really gave it much thought compared to other Loti I've fancied over the years though. Watching that video made the car a lot more desireable though... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I wonder where an 80's Turbo Esprit or even an Elise or Exige would have fit in there? I almost bet the europa would've still been in second behind the porsche. The europa weighs, what? 1600 pounds? Most of the rest of those cars are nearly twice that weight... but they have nearly twice the horsepower too.

That Exige S kind of reminds me of a modern Bugeye.

Wonder if they are US legal, noop, prob not.
