Spotted this in the Local (Houston) paper this morning:

'72 Lotus Europa needs restoration. $1,500. Call after 9pm. 281-495-3818

I know no more than that.

There was a Yellow Europa Twin Cam on jack stands at Hamilton Motorsports in Houston (actually -- Bellaire - just outside the loop)for a long time. It was a customer car, but he never paid...I always thought about making an offer to buy it.

Problem with the Europa is that it never pays to restore one. The parts are expensive and the values still stink...tragic,because it's such an awesome road car.

Better to buy one thats already been restored or doesn't need restoration.

I'd say thats good advice.
