Can anybody help!! I'm a bit confused.
A standard Racetech S2 kicks out 120bhp. I had a hurricane filter, janspeed sports exhaust fitted before going into PTP in Hinckley. They fitted 4-2-1 Janspeed exhaust,Emerald ECU,free flow sports CAT and a set of 45mm Jenvey Throttle bodies going into a pressurized carbon airbox. The car then went to Emeralds rolling road and they are telling me that it's only pulling 145bhp.The bodies alone should knock it up 40bhp surely? If anybody can throw any light on the matter it would be welcome.I haven't paid for the work yet,so i'll have a bit of bargaining power, cheer Steve.

You sound like it's good.

Gotta remember there is a WHOLE lot of difference between engine dyno numbers and chassis(rolling road) numbers.

You are going through the gearbox, differential, wheel bearings and tire tread resistance, also driving accessories(alternator, etc).

Way back around 40 years ago I ran a Clayton chassis dyno and if the numbers I remember are right figure a 30% loss of flywheel dyno to chassis dyno

Seems respectable to me... the ECU and some "bolt-on" performance parts are not going to gain much more than what you state. And 145 at the rear wheels is nothing to sneeze at with that GVW.

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/iagree.gif, I recall a 30-35% drop as being the buzz number.
