Ya know, I didn't think single make & model races could be so interesting to watch... but I think this video has made me want to keep an eye out for more of this sort of stuff...

THAT was frellin' LOVELY! I wuz yellin' at the 'pooter at about turn three... "Get IN there!" ...he DID! Bit of a shortcut on the left-hander after the pass, even think there was a bit of contact with the yellow car but overall, it was brilliant!

He was really darn close to a racing room observer report for not yielding the line to the yellow car... Of course that is coming from a gentleman-back-marker. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonono.gif
 
He was "a bit aggressive" on that inside pass. Looks like the camera could'a been hand-held... wonder if? No expletives uttered so mebbe it was just an "impromptu" camera mount.

Either way it was great footage... and it looks fer all the world as if it was a bit wet as well. One (left hand) turn at the end the car gets a bit 'twitchy' inna rear.
 
I will have to admit that I would think that one marque races would be boring.

But the Spec Miatas and Spec Neons are entertaining to watch as long as you don't have to be out here with them.

They can be a bit rough on my car (as this picture shows).

Out thinking them as well! The last bit as he's passed all but one and goin' like th' clappers thru the apexes... he's obviously had that track under him before. Knew the proper line and kept it. Everyone else was pucker'd up and huggin' shoulder. He'd outclassed all but one and was shotgunnin' as he passed the last... and all in the wet! Again: Brill!
 
I had to watch it three times, now if I can get the tingle out of my spine. I really had forgoten how much fun that was.
Oh well, too old now, the fine reflexes gone and eyes not like they were.

If you have a desire for this do it before you turn 40, sigh.
 
Doesn't mean you shouldn't start when you turn 18! I started SCCA solo II with a tiger when I was 18.
