Mike Smith, the keyboard player and primary singer for the Dave Clark Five has died at age 64. He was scheduled to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame soon.

Many of you may not only recall their music, but the album cover they did with the Jaguar E-type (below)

aeronca65t, thats too young to go! yes i remember both the music and the album cover, showing my age again, from 1964 to 1966 dc5 had 15 consecutive singles in the top 40 in the u.s., i dont think the "beatles", the "stones" or any other band ever achieved that. :savewave:

Hi Folks,

I surely do remember them and they bring back some really fond memories of "The Good Old Days" gone by!!

I really "Love" the E-Type & the title fits like a glove! "Catch me if you can"!!

Thats Great!!

Regards, Russ

Can't say "I'm Glad All Over" to hear that news! Another indicator of just how old some of us are getting!!! :frown:

They were SUPPOSED to be inducted last year, but apparently a one-hit-wonder rap group needed to get in there first... :madder:

The rock hall is bollocks. I doubt anyone here in Cleveland takes it seriously.
