Looking for white upholstery for 100-6

Recently purchased a 100-6 two seater. Needs total resto. Want to re-do original. Problem is original interior is white with white seats (seats have red piping). Moss doesn't sell white seats, door panels, dash, etc. Tonneau is also white (and in excellent shape too). Haven't been able to find anyone who does. Tried Kaboom! on dash, but it still looks dirty. Does anyone know who sells needed interior components and what I can expect to spend (please tell me amount in dollars!) Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

To my knowledge, Healey never made a white interior for your car. It must not be original. This is probably why you can't find white anywhere.

If you are serious about originality of the car, go here & get a production certificate which gives all of the important information about original colors, interiors & such for your specific car;

I didn't suggest Heritage earlier because of the cost. Heritage Trim will make your interior parts with any color & several different material grades. They are second to no other for quality. If I needed interior parts it would be my choice.

A rough cost estimate from Heritage from two year old information (prices may have gone up) is - from $1,700 to $2,400 - For interior, depending on material choices. A top would be an additional $400 to $700 & a tonneau - $265 to $ 600. Again depending upon material choices. US dollars. If you don't wish to install the interior yourself, double the prices to have shop installed.

The door panels, as well as the panels over the tranny are done in white. I also looked in some Healey restoration book (right now the author's name escapes me) and saw white interior in a 100-6. Nonetheless, I like the idea of finding out exactly. Thanks for the tip.
 
Get it done by first part of June. There should be about 150 to 200 Healeys here at Stateline (South Lake Tahoe). Two years ago we had 625 Healeys. So now you have a goal. Even if you don't drive your 100 up here you will have a great time seeing and talking to everyone.

This car was originally red, though a bad spray job was done (my guess is early/mid 70s). Car will need a new trunk lid too. I'll send away for Heritage samples and see what they come up with. BTW, love the pix of your car! That's Colorado Red, right? With a couple coats of clear? Beautiful!

No way I'll have her done by June! Too much work! Wanted to go to that show a couple years ago, but it fell on the same day as an ex's birthday. If I'd known then what iIknow now, I would've gone to the car show! I'll be there this year though!

It looks like you are good to go. Your colors do add up to an original available combination. I really like the factory "grey" interior. If it had been available on my BN2 I would change over now. Since it wasn't available, I'm stuck with the black interior.

Yes, my car is "Colorado Red" although it should have been "Reno Red" to be original. I'm not about to change it now. "Colorado Red" is more orange than "Reno Red". As near as I can tell, the previous owner painted the whole car, outside, inner panels & chassis, about 14 years ago. The paint has held up really well & still in near new condition, although it is not clear coated.

Years of living in a heated garage & dry climate I guess.

The only factory color combination that comes close; Exterior = Colorado Red (RD.2), Interior = Grey, Seats = Grey/red piping, Carpet = red, Top = grey.

Note that the color the factory calls Grey is actually light beige/ parchment/ dirty white. On the grey sample that I have from Heritage Trim, which they call grey/Parchment, it looks to be a light beige. Definitely not pure white & not as dark as their Light Beige.

Is your exterior red or does it show signs of having been red at one time? If so, the dirty white may be original.

If you request it, Heritage Trim will send samples of the colors for you to match.

In any event, it is not a color that is stocked by the usual vendors.

PS - If by chance your car was originally green, there another couple of Grey color possibilities.

1- Exterior = Pacific Green (GN.9), Interior = Grey, Seats = Grey/ green piping, Carpet = green, Top = grey.

2- Exterior = Florida green (GN.1), Interior = Grey, Seats = Grey/ green piping, Carpet = green, Top = black.

Note that both of these had green seat piping.

recently completed ah 100 6 restoration. car is colorado red over old english white. have oyster interior from sports and classics , darien ct. send your e mail address, and i will forward photos of interior
