Looking for someone

I was lookig at my Flight Radr App and saw a Copter flyig around Albuquerque. I selected the copter to see his flight path. At first I thought "must be drunk," but looked up the Registration and it's a Sheriff's Copter. From the tight circles, I'm guessing they are chasing someone.

Looks like the classic loiter at the Interstate. We see a lot of that here, two Interstates cross nearby. Home base for the Sheriff's 'copter is a couple miles away as the crow flies, so they're easily heard and seen.

Bear in the Air. I didn't think they were doing that any more due to fuel costs.

Saw something similar here in Portland... small aircraft circling and circling the downtown area during a huge protest. A friend later reported who it was (confirming law-enforcement).
