Jack:

Those look very good for the price, I would also check out the cost of custom fit from an upholtery (sp?)shop because the kits fit well but not great with the old padding.

New padding gets costly.

Yep, was lots of padding under there, looked like jute and some kind of stringie stuff, expect it might have been orginial. Threw it away, was awful sad stuff and lots of rust as well. They are off being sandblasted and primed so I can do something with them. Professional instlation is a fine idea, should have thought of that. Will check it out for sure. We actually have a trim shop here.

Nice, never happy how my covers fit, check it out. Twenty some-odd years latter and still a bit unhappy with mine.

Just an alternative see how much $$$.

Thought I just might see how much the padding stuff is, heck I can put em on myself, I did keep a set of the junk as a pattern seemed to be just stuck on with a bit of gook. Cover with a plastic bag and slide the new stuff on. Pull the plastic out, there ya go, new seats.

I bought one of his first sets. bought the foam kit from Moss. Put them together myself. My seats look every bit as good as a friend of mines who had his done at a shop. You also need to get all the little clips if you do not have them.

Thank You Taz. Appreciate the comment from someone who has tried them. Now I know how I will go for sure.

You know I have the clips buy they are nasty and it looks like Moss wants .90 cents each. Must be some place to buy new ones by the bag. Maybe even the trim shop.

all I had to start with were the frames. I had to buy seat pans too. Considered going to a aftermarket or other stock seat, but in the end I am glad that I rebuilt the stock seats.

If you decide to do it your self its no biggie.

Taz, I am not concerned with installing the covers, it is the extra padding that will be tough I expect.

Anyway I am glad to hear someone else has consided and used these covers, they are a lot cheeper than the Moss ones and seemingly look as good.
