hello all, im looking to change out my rear end gears from 390 to 354, if anybody knows of any, please let me know
thanks

Search for Lempert Gears. There is/was a group buy going on recently.

Otherwise, keep watching Ebay...

Dan Lempert is managing the 354 gear set orders and manufacturing. Presently the latest batch is scheduled for February, 2012. My understanding is Dan ordered gear sets for pre-paid orders plus extras for sale. Contact Dan at 354gears@gmail.com for additional information.

i e mailed Dan a few days ago, never got a reply back. anybody have a phone number for him???

thanks

I received an email from Dan on 11/10 confirming the February scheduled ship date...

I believe Dan ordered extras to sell on one of the auction sites. This was due to not having received enough pre-paid orders for the manufacturing total units required for a run.

Don't be bummed... be patient.

The extra gear sets, if any now, are planned to be listed on ebay I was told.

The cost of manufacturing and materials has increased since Mike's initial offering. Prior to placing an order for the gear sets, Dan inquired if the less expensive gear set made in China was acceptable. The China made gear sets is closer to the original price. The overwhelming response from the pre-paid order customers was we preferred to pay more for the American made gear sets.

I would insist on American-made, too--or German, or British--and not just for patriotic reasons. Sorry, I just wouldn't trust Chinese-made product in such a crucial component. Maybe in a few years.

The set I got from Mike was made in Detroit area, IIRC.

finally got a letter from dan, he is still taking orders and i will be sending him a check tomorrow, thanks all

Has anyone heard from 356 Gears lately. It's been five [5] years since I put a deposit on a set, all I've heard is promises. I'm thinking of asking for my deposit back and ordering a set from Denis Welsh in UK. Twice the price but delivery is tomorrow !

Bob
