Looking for "Real" Chrome Paint? Look At This!

How many of us have bought the so called chrome paint? It's still just aluminum paint with a fancy name. Well it's here, as close to the real thing as you can get. Only draw back is the price. At $1200 a gallon,

, it's a little on the heavy side. The smaller kits are a little less painful though.

Food for thought. I understand though from a person who has used it, the application technique is slightly different than ordinary painting and the process takes quite a bit longer.

Well, at those prices, re-chroming seems like a better alternative! To redo a BE grill it would cost me as much for that paint as it would to just go out and buy a new grill (and I would save the painting hassle too!)!!!

We tried it on a sign once with not too great a result. We wound up polishing the aluminum and then topcoating it with blue Candy.

Wow, a bit pricey.

I don't know Vince, but I spoke with the fellow who initially told me about the product and he said that the application process is extremely critical to get the desired results. Instructions must be followed to a "T"! Temperatures and drying times are very critical and the final application process, "Dusting", can not be rushed and that's where he said most people mess up. Regardless, the stuff is way to expensive. I personally would send my parts out to be re chromed the old fashion way.
