hi all,
can someone post some pictures of a straight axle tr4 with a panhard bar installed. i'd like to know where to mount and locate it (roughly). do you mount it below the frame with brackets extending down to lower the roll center?
Rob

I saw a Panhard bar one time on a TR4 but most drivers rely on welded leave spring brackets.

Hi Rob,

Have you brought the subject up over on Kas Kastner's discussion forum? (Shame on me, I haven't dropped in there lately to see what's new.)

Cheers!

hi peter,
i've seen their site but haven't asked for further info. i am looking at possibly doing the following:
fiberglass single leaf springs, shock conversion like ken knights', anti roll bar and lsd. aluminum drums. all to lower weight and gain grip thats tune-able. car might be done in 8 years.
planning,planning,planning,designing,building.

alan,
heading there now.
Rob

The front of the car is the heaviest and it needs the most weight removed for balance. Let me know what more you find out as I think I will tackle the panhard bar on my bare chassis next.

peter correct,
but this is unsprung weight reduction which is very important to reduce in the rear. sprung weight and unsprung weight reduction in the front is important but as you point out, our cars are front end heavy.
