Im buying a bunch of stuff from victoria british, so if you know if they sell it, please let me know.

Anyway, sorry I dont have any pics (maybe later) but I am looking for a few misc things for my GT6. First one is this funky rubber flap thing that attached to the firewall. Since my heater core is removed, theres a giant hole for fun stuff to get in, but it seems most of the debris came from the top vents (usually hidden by the bonnet) My guess is, rain water is supposed to fall in there, and escape through a tiny hole covered by a flap. Well, to remove all the debris, I pulled the flap and naturally the 43yo rubber did not like that, and broke off.

Second item appears to be rubber drain plugs for the floor area. Dont really understand the point of them. I mean if water is intended to escape there, why pug the hole? Anyway since they did, naturally standing water inside my car the norm. Anyway Ive removed them all and would like to replace them with brand new ones

Third item is a new commission plate. I still have my old one, but its seen better days. Its faded, bent, and has over spray. I have seen reproductions for the spits, but I need a big square one WITHOUT the british leyland logo. Also would also like to know where I could have numbers stamped onto the new reproduction piece.

That is (mostly) a joke; the holes were required as part of the manufacturing process and had no function once the car was assembled. (Except some early TRs, where the jack went through the hole in the floor and engaged some tabs on the frame).
 
As far as stamping the numbers on the new plate you can buy a set of number and or letter punches at Harbor Freight. here is the link https://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result/?category=&q=numbers.

Or you might find a local metal shop that could do it on a machine that would line up everything nice and neat. My manufacturing facility has such a machine it is called an "Automark"

We are not allowed to shop at Harbor Freight anymore... ...cant walk out of there without spending several hundred dollars. Real good price for that tool... ...so is everything else.

The CNP96 plate is similar to what I am looking for, but has the british leyland logo, and the number layout is different.
 
The rubber flap you inquired about is (to the best of my knowledge) NLA. The part is/was the same on our GT6 and Spitfire. For the GT6 I took a piece of fabric reinforced rubber and cut a flap to cover the car body hole. I bent down the middle some scrap stainless sheet metal the same width as my rubber flap and about 1/2" wide. I then made a nut-bar to go on the "inside" of the fresh air intake and drilled holes in my "v" shaped piece of sheet metal. Using two small (4-40 or 6-32) screws, I assembled my sandwich version of the NLA flap. The final assembly is a V-shaped bar holding the rubber against the car using two screws passing through the slot where the old rubber flapper was, threaded into the nut bar. For 17 years my homemade flapper has been on the GT6 and working. I need to make one for the Spitfire. No... it doesn't look factory but using stainless it does look very presentable.

Rubber floor plugs can probably be found at most of the usual parts suppliers. However, when I last ordered electrical parts from Britishwiring.com I found they had a large assortment of grommets and plugs for much less than I had been paying. If you measure the size of the floor holes you can probably find what you need at BritishWiring for a very good price.

As for the need for the plugs, a friend of mine said he felt they weren't necessary... until someone ran him off the road into a rain soaked, muddy ditch. He didn't have the plugs fitted and he commented that within seconds the car filled up with water to the seat bottoms.

find the shop that sells glassware and things you give for weddings
they do engraving
pick your font, 18 buck I think it was
all centered and looks great

Ah man! I should have been more careful! I had the existing flap, and thought that I could just repair it, as it was kinda cool looking. I had sat it on top of the car, but my husband flipped the car over the weekend to sand and paint the undercarraige with POR-15. So it fell off somewhere in the grass. On top of that a tropical storm came through (honestly it was just a rain, not even a tropical depression at that point) And the entire neighborhood was flooded. I joked about the triumph floating away, and my mom believed me!!! But the rain stopped, and my yard is fine, but it could have floated away.

My old 1988 bmw had something similar. They called it an "elephant trunk" rather than be a flap, it was a tube that covered the hole, and pinched at the bottom (which caused it to become clogged) I took it off to clean since the car would leak, and people claim that causes it, and being 20yo rubber, I could not put it back on. They still make them, but its like $60 for a car thats worth $1000.

Success! I found it! Now to figure out how I can reattach it without it falling off. Maybe some special 3M adhesive tape after the cars painted. The flap looks complete, Just the part that slides into the slot is torn off.

They do punch numbers? Like army dog tags?
 
Have you checked Rimmer Bros. in the UK? I have found that they have a lot of GT6 & Spit parts that are not available over here. They have a website if you search for it.
