Hello:

Trying to re-locate an old friend of mine whom I meet out of high school when working for a foreign auto parts store on Long Island.

He was a real car guy, had a TR3, the TR250 that road & track tested, a Triumph Super 7, a couple of Alfas, old Buick to name a few. Went to work for Ford in Detroit, then Saab, then almost Lotus.

Lost track of him. Last know residence Georgia??

His name was Steve Rossi from Franklin Sq. NY.

Would love to talk to him if anyone knows his whereabouts.

I am not a bill collector or stalker!

Thanks!

There is a John Rossi who deals in TR parts from Flintstone GA. Contact me off-list if you think there is a connection and want his address.

thanks, but neither of them are him, I was hoping he might be out there lurking somewhere & jump in.

gjh,

Gotta love google! Typed "steve rossi Triumph" and found this....

Sounds like your guy... even mentions his job as Chief of McLaren! Lives in Detroit and has a TR3 that reflects his roots, being that he has owned several of them.

Hope this helps you contact him.... ask him if he is hiring any young motivated car nuts!

gjh,

The above article was from 2001... on page two this was written..

"He'd been waiting for such an opportunity since leaving DaimlerChrysler. There Rossi had been vice president of global communications, a position that his former colleagues describe as a "no-win" in the fractious aftermath of Daimler's acquisition. It was much different than the top communications posts he'd previously held at Mercedes, Chevrolet and Saab through most of the 1980s and '90s."

Sounds like he has done quite well since leaving the parts business! Hope he is still with McLaren and in Detroit. Good luck with your contacting him and let me know if you find him.

Brian

Oops,

Apparently he is now with the Model T Automotive Complex! This link is a 2003 Board Member listing from their site.

I'd make a good stalker, eh? Wish I had seen this first....

Thanks Brian!

That sounds like him, I know he had a TR3 (black with red int.) When we used to do our tooling around on Long Island. Sounds like he may have restored it. No wonder he doesn't have time to be up front & involved with Tr Registry, sounds like he's got a cavalcade of toys!

I'll keep you posted Magnum PI!

That's him, saw the photo, he is even working with a guy who used to belong to the LITA, had a Mayflower.

Wish He took me with him!
