looking for Moss 363-370, 1500 thermostat housing

If you get desperate, I may have one from a Spitfire. IIRC it requires modification to work, but should work.

They certainly look the same and there were several on ebay a couple of weeks ago. You can also search for Spitfire parts and The Roadster Factory might be a resource.
HTH, Rut

'76 is different than the 363-370 for a'75. '75 was one-year only and the bypass hoses are smaller. Any '76-79 1500 will work on yours.

All I am looking for is a thermostat housing/cover with a fill plug on it (as opposed to one without it) so I can get all the air out better.

All of the 1500 Midget ones have the plug, the difference is '75 has smaller hoses than the others. If you ask for one for a '75 and have a '76 or later, it'll bolt up and have a fill plug but your smaller hoses won't fit.

some added info.
the engine is a 1976 1500, in a 1974 car with a 1974 radiator and a 1974 thermostat housing/cover.

Oh.... if the fill plug is what you are after, I am pretty sure the spitfire housing doesn't have it.

In looking for the Spitfire cooling system (see link below), it doesn't look like the Spitfire thermostat housing/cover has a fill plug in it.

That is correct. Look art your old housing and the smaller hoses that run off to the passenger side. Are they both the same size or is one bigger than the other?
