looking for a tire

I've got a set of Viper Radial HX tires on my TR. They are P225/60/15.

One of them has a wobble to it according to the shop that balanced the tires for me. I've been looking for a matching replacement but can't seem to find these tires for sale anywhere.

I thought I'd post this here and see if anyone could help me find a replacement before I breakdown and replace all 4 tires. The other 3 tires are in great shape with lots of tread left,...so I kinda hate to pitch them.

Thanks

yep

I searched the web and found references to this particular tire,...but I could'nt find them for sale anywhere.

I was hoping someone here might know where I can buy one.

I have a feeling they are no longer available,...meaning I'm probably gonna have to replace all 4 tires if I want a matching set. That's gonna stink!

Stink,
Did the shop say what is causing the "wobble"? Is the tire out of round? If so it may be able to have the high part shaved a little to bring it back into round.
Did the shop try repositioning the tire on the wheel? I recall reading about tires having a dot on the sidewall that is supposed to be lined up with the valve stem hole on the wheel. It's in the Miata performance book. I'll try to find it tonight (if the football game gets boring)

I just googled "viper radial" and found they're made by Cooper. Try a Cooper dealer.

The shop said it probably had a belt separating inside. There's no visable bubble or bulge, but it does cause a shake at certain speeds. You can see it wobble when it was spinning on the tire balancer. It wobbled left to right, not up and down. He did'nt try to re-mount it or anything. He took one look at it and said it was a bad tire. I'm just going along with his opinion,...after all he's the professional,....right?

I saw the Cooper Vipers, but they are not the same as what I have.

Have'nt had time to do any leg work on this, but I have'nt given up yet.
