Looking for a set of early seat frames

I'm beginning to look for a set of early Sprite / Midget seat frames.

These will be for my MK2 Sprite, the current seats in there are suited to the Bugeye so they will be transferred to it.
I have new MK2 upholstery, now I am looking for (at a minimum) a pair of seat backs and bottom frames.
Bottom pans would also be nice but they are not absolutely necessary.

I am Not looking for shiny new condition, rusty is OK as long as there's enough metal left to assemble a pair of seats.

Price is a factor, so just for the record I have seen the reproduction stuff out there and I don't want it as paying a grand for a pair of seat frames is crazy IMHO.
I could spend less than that and get a MK1 Midget parts car (again). (however the better half seems to be at her limit of the number of cars in the back yard presently)

So if you have some, or know of some, please let me know.

Hi Rick, I have a set of seats from a '58 if you have an interest I can include some pictures. They're both in fine shape... let me know what specific angles you'd like for the pix and I'll shoot them out to you. Not sure what the market $$ is for these things, so you'll have to make an offer once you see the pix.

Also, I have a couple of early '58 bugeyes that I'm thinking of selling. Rust free AZ cars in very good shape metal-wise. They're both totally dismantled, but most parts are still with them. (948s, one dash, the seats I speak of, etc.)

Of note, one of the tubs is a very, very early bugeye... before they strengthened the area near the package shelf and into the trunk.

If anyone out there has an interest, let me know and I'll forward pix.

Yes, pictures would be great.
I'll PM you my email address.

Az bugeye's!! Drool!
[Too many projects here though]

Kurt.

JRSnell - please don't be a one post wonder!

Welcome to the forum.
Please post some pictures of your cars, drivers, show cars, parts cars, bits & pieces - all welcome here!

I'm usually in and around this forum as a spectator most of the time. I don't have a lot to contribute to the pure AH side at the moment. I'm more active over on the MGE Spridget forum as I have an early MK1 Midget that gets most of my attention currently.

I haven't had the opportunity to get pix yet on the seats and I've had a couple of PMs on the bodies as well. Hope to get all pix taken and posted sometime tonight!

I'll try and update my profile too... Thanks for the welcome Rick.

Cheers, Jeff

Bugeye seats... rough shape but all there and working:

Very early 1958 Bugeye body. Here are pictures showing unique parts of this body that only exist on the very first bugeyes. Contact me if interested in more detailed pictures of small rust spots and a full list of what I have available for this car, beyond just the body.

Thanks, PM sent. Probably another on the way...

I have a good AZ title for the early VIN tag (8713) and a bill of sale for the later tag (18056). I wouldn't have a problem including the early VIN with the title with the early car. Kind of actually makes sense!
