Looking for a needle in a haystack

Here's the deal, I got a SCCA MIdget race car that had fiberglass quarter panels in it and the steel one were already cut out, I want to convert it to vintage racing, which means I need two RWA (Round wheel arch) quarterpanels, I refuse to pay $400 a piece for them, anyone got two lying around from a resto that didn't happen or tub with two good QPs in it, that could be cut out?????

Time to drag in another parts car! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Hap, Vping parted out I believe a 72 and a 74. Look through the past posts. He had some parts left. I was going through the pics and it looks as if he cut down the tubs.

Hap - I took a rusty one to the salvage yard earlier in summer - when I get home, I'll check to see if they've crushed it yet & what the arches look like...how high do you need them?.

Tony it would be 72-74 round wheel arch. The catch is that the square wheel arch quarter panle only retail for $200 each, not too bad, but the RWA QPs sell for $400 per side, kinda extreme. I've got Gordon with his UK connections seeing if they can be had cheaper over there. I still got a 73 tub, that I was going to crush I can cut them off, one a little rusty at the bottom. I just had in my mind I would order new, thinking they would never be $400 per side.

One of the Midgets I took to the salvage yard was RWA

Since you're looking anyway. At the end of July Ms Triss is going in for her body work. At that time I'm converting to chrome bumper from Rubber. The advantage here is that she was rear ended anyway so I just bought an earlier valance (Moss # 456-505) It has the inside curves under taillights that the rubber bumpers have hacked off. If anyone is carving a RWA shell and can cut me the outer pieces, (equivalent of 455-705/ 455-695) it saves my guy having to fabricate. Let me know

Thanks
JP
