You want a hardtop or convertible?
In order of cost the TR6 is gonna be the most expensive., then (arguably) the GT-6, followed by the MG. The running costs are going to be the same order as the initial cost $ wise.
To get a nice GT-6 you'll end up dropping a decent chunk of change. Buying a poor one will end up getting expensive fast. TR-6s are even more than the GT-6s (I have one, and it is not cheap to run), especially if you want to make it nice.
Why do you want a TR? What's wrong with the B that you are looking to change it?

A question about GT6s...
A friend of mine told me the history of Triumph cars in about 15 minutes. Some of it ran together. He spoke of a car that was a hard top and a real nice car but would burn you up to drive, literally. I think he was talking about the GT6s but can't quite remember.

Having put many thousands of miles on two GT6s -- a 1970 GT6+ and a 1972 Mk3 -- back in the 1970s and early 1980s, I'd have to say they were no worse than any other car as far as interior heat was concerned. At least not here in upstate New York!

Personally, I'd say stick with the B for now....I've owned a few GT6's(and really loved them) and many TR6's....The TR's are alot faster and the TR6 is one of the funnest cars to drive I have ever owned. BUT there more compicated than the MGB's which are very simple to work on, also talkeding from personal experience the MGB's are alot more reliable than any TR I've owned.
