I just talked to someone at Mini mainia
He suggested that I switch to a rib tranny and quit messing with the smooth one.
Much better he said.
so does any one have a good usable rib tranny or know where to get one?
I will try junk yard just to see what is out there.
Thanks

This is not a bad place to ask. Just be advised that a good one means rebuilt. Either expensive or do it your self.

John at Quantumechanics will definitly stand behind his work!! I haven't spoken to him in years, but he is one of the best out there in my opinion and will also offer help and advice!! BTW, check ebay for a tranny, they are listed quite often and fairly reasonable most of the time!!

Mine is trashed, but it will be available in a couple of months, gratis when the time comes.

HI
I think I am going to save myself lots of time and pain by going with one from Quantumechanics. I will then have a good tranny.the first one in 35 years. Can't wait to have one that really shifts. Wonder how long it will take me to unlearn the old shifting method?
I want to thank all for your help in guiding me through this maze of choices.
Thanks
Sim
