Looking For A Car

Hi All,

Looking for a car. It's a 1972 E-Type UC1S20622. The vehicle is listed on XKEdata. I was able to get the guy who my father sold it to's info and sent him a letter via snail mail. The vehicle is last shown as expired registration 9/16/2005.

Also have a call into my insurance agent as sometimes insurance companies keep data on cars.

Wondering if any of you have any other ideas on how to find this car. I want to purchase it back for my dad as a present now that he is free of his cancer that he had.

Any and all ideas are appreciated on regaining this excellent vehicle.

You might try the BMV in the state it was last registered, they should have records, although rules vary from state to state over what they can share. Also, any local clubs you can find, they might know the car and owner and could put you in touch. Local want ad in the paper or online asking for any leads too, use a throwaway email address to avoid long term potential cloggin with spam.

Curiously, i checked the Florida DMV Inquiry. here...

Plug in the vin. It was last registered in Florida. Shows the previous state Illinois. It may help you get more info.
