Looking for a car cover

I'm trying to find a nice, soft cover for the bugeye. Not one of those cheap, rough, tarp things. Any ideas where I can find one that will be made of a soft fabric so it won't scuff my polished aluminum and other bits?

Are you looking for an outside or inside cover?

Moss sells nice covers, and I've always like the "Noah" covers for outside use. Just Google "Noah", you'll find a good vendor.

Lots of choices, of course, and a wild variation in pricing. You should be able to find a good quality outdoor cover for less than $150. Indoor covers are of course cheaper.

Points to remember:

1) choose one that "breathes": the fabric must allow air exchange, otherwise moisture will become trapped on the car's surface, promoting rust;

2) Choose a cover that's form-fitted for your car. Loose covers may flap in the breeze, possibly scratching paint/chrome.

Good luck, let us know . . .

Its for indoor use, it sleeps in the garage :smile:

Use a king size colored sheet. Cut and stitch as appropriate.

Too bad they only make them for the car with the top off. Probably won't fit otherwise.

I agree with Jack, if it's for indoor use buy a huge sheet, you really don't even need to modify it. I stitched two sheets together for my 50 Chevy and that worked just fine. Easy to keep clean.

huh, never thought of that. Bet the bottom sheet from a California King bed would fit.

If it's an indoor situation you could certainly get a very inexpensive one. That's what I do.

I run my cover through the washer and dryer from time to time, keeps it clean and soft.

I have a nice one made specific for my 65 Sprite from California Car Cover Co. I think it was about $85 I even had Sprite embroridered on it, nice soft cover and it is also weather proof, I use for inside storage only.
