Looking for a BE [BugEye] drivers door? Anyone?

Re: Looking for a BE drivers door? Anyone?

Will an early Midget door work?

Re: Looking for a BE drivers door? Anyone?

The MKI Sprite and the MKI Midget / MKII Sprite used the same doors, the only difference was the lining in the door pocket.

Re: Looking for a BE drivers door? Anyone?

Yes, I do have an excellent driver door

Re: Looking for a BE drivers door? Anyone?

I think they were 5/16 pan head pozi's (fine of course) about an inch and a quarter long, but I'm going from a memory (3 yrs ago)

Re: Looking for a BE drivers door? Anyone?

IF they are 5/16 fine thread, then any hardware store would work. You can probably find it in a philips pan head, or just use hex heads (which is what I did). Let me make a trip to the garage to check the size.

Re: Looking for a BE drivers door? Anyone?

OK, it looks like they are 1/4". I think they were originally the "funny phillips head" pozi, but mine were so rusted I couldn't tell.
Sorry for the confusion.
