Looking for a 1500 engine

Hello all! I posted this in the classifieds as well as the Spridget forum since I'm a regular poster there but I figure I'll post this in here as well I have a 76 MG Midget w/ the British Leyland 1500 engine which I know is used in the Spitfires as well. I prefer it to be within a day's drive of Michigan. Thanks folks!

try ted schumacher at tsi imports. he may have some built 1500 engines. he is in ohio.

Have you tried Brooks Imported cars in Lansing? Thr old MG/TR/ALFA dealer.

Yep, I live 6 blocks away. They are fresh out of engines but have a lot of MGB parts.

Box, I'm looking for a good block and cylinder head which I can have machined and rebuild. I would like a spare engine. Always a good think to have around. Finding the rest of the parts shouldnt be a problem. Thx
