Look what the Spridget fairy left me!

I got myself a free (& running!) 948 w/smoothcase tranny.

The owner upgraded to a 1275 & 5-speed and asked Gerard if he knew anyone who wanted it. It'll sit in the garage for now, but eventually it will find it's way back into a Spridget.

Thanks Gerard and Barbara (the generous Spridget fairy, as it were)!

Or the generous-person-who-got-rid-of-a-spare-engine-that-would-just-take-up-space fairy...

Mike,

Glad to hear you finally got it. If I remember correctly, it's a good runner at least. Looks like you have a 1275 timing cover too.

Barbara and the mechanic both said it was a good running engine, so I'm happy with that.....I just need to find a good project car that needs a motor.

The mechanic said the new 6-bladed cooling fan hit the 1275 cover, so they swapped it out with teh old 948 cover. The carbs have been pilfered too.....they are in another box (in pieces). The only other thing missing is the distributor.....I guess I can't complain though.

Thanks again Gerard!
