Look Ma, I'm blogging, I'm blogging

Congrats! Nice start! Look forward to following progress!

That shrinking disk-a-ma-jig is cool. Congrats on the "thump."

The shrinking disk is addictive. I started looking for bumps to shrink. It is much easier to control than the old torch/circle hammer method.

I'd say that is the size that it works best on. It is great for "oil can" areas too. Ya know, the areas where the metal pops out too far, then when you press on it ... it pops back too far.

I think I have a spot on the door that I may do tonight and I'll try to take some meaningful pictures (most my pictures do not illustrate what I'm trying to show).

I've actually over shrunk a few areas, but some "on dolly hammering will stretch it back out"

Trevor,

I liked that lower fender repair. I'll need to do something similar to mine someday.

Notice all the lines? I estimated where I thought I'd have to cut to. But the more poking and digging, and scraping I did the higher the line went.

Trevor - have you ever built a custom harness?

I'd call British Wiring & tell them what you need....they made a custom harness for my '70 GT into which I've grafted a '67 dash with relocated instruments....no more expensive than a new stock harness

I've never built a custom harness, but I feel more than confident I can do it. My wiring plan deviates so much from stock that asking British Wiring to do it would be pointless. Other than the dash and the engine, none of the wires would be the same. Besides I don't want to farm out all the fun jobs.
