Can anyone take or does anyone have pics of how the Alternator attaches to the 1500 Midget. Here's a pic of what I've got. I pu it on but then couldn't adjust the fan belt, so I know something's wrong. I take pics from everywhich way but loose! I just need to figure this out. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Not much to see there. Look at the Moss or VB pictures or the factory parts manual.

It's hard to tell what you got going on there from the pic. You may just need to loosen all your bolts. I usually leave all of mine really loose, slip on the belt, pull the alt tight, tighten the bolt on the upper bracket, tighten the bolt on the thermo housing, then tighten the bolt on the bottom bracket.

The upper bracket has a small hole on an offset tab that should bolt to the thermo housing. The long tensioner slat is what the alt bolts to.

I have one in my garage now that I am striping. Send me a PM with your email address and I will take some pictures and send them to you. The Alt is still mounted, in fact the whole motor has not been touched yet.
