Scott- what an opportunity to buy scarce parts and logo items! Hope you have a great time.

Thanks; I'm working in Europe for 6mos, so just a short hop on Easyjet for the weekend. Meeting my wife in London this weekend for an early Valentines day. Company flying her over first class from NYC /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Already have a bunch of stuff from Canley Classics that my UK colleagues deliver to my office in Krakow.

At least your in a nice part of Poland. With an airport that actually has international flights. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Hi Scott,

"YOU LUCKY DEVIL" and especially your wife!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

What`s the name of the Co. you work for again? A Valve Mfg. in Allentown, I believe?

Are they hiring? Do you need an assistant? Do you need someone to carry your bags for you on your next venture? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Have fun over there,

Regards, Russ /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

Russ-

Close... large gases and chemicals company. The world's largest producer of hydrogen, in fact.

Dont know Basil's policy, so I won't name names.

And cheap too. Flight today to London is less than the cab ride to the airport. Seriously. The return is slightly more. About $65 in total I think, mostly taxes.

Is that with Ryan Air or LOT? The Ryan Air flights I've been on in the past were interesting and mildly entertaining. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif

A good friend of mine lives in Wroclaw. Been to Poland several times. Was actually the best man at his wedding in Wroclaw. That was a grand experience! Krakow is a 'must visit' for any trip to Poland. Prague is also a 'must see' if you get anywhere remotely close.

It should be cheap. Economies of scale...

Easyjet. Although Ryanair and Wizz (?!) are just as cheap, Wizz fly out of Katowicze, which is about 30 miles from Krakow.

Been to Prague a few times for the project; as both Czech and Slovakia are both in scope. Might do a quick hop to Budapest just to see it. And Vienna. I love budget European carriers; like flying busses.

Oh I have some Ryan air stories! Inexpensive, yes. Got where I needed to go just fine afterwards too since they always seem to have transportation waiting to take you into the larger cities.

One flight from Pisa (Italy) to Lubeck (Germany, just outside of Hamburg) felt like we left the landing gear on the tarmac we hit so hard. Was on another flight from Berlin (Schoenfeld, I think) to Stansted, England (outside London) and the plane nearly landed at the wrong airport. My friend who was picking me up at Stansted also told me that the arrival register listed my flight as arriving at three separate times.

I'd still fly Ryan without a bit of hesitation. I'd even try the others. Always ready for more good travel stories. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Yeah, these budget carriers really push the envelope. Landed in Krakow at 20:00, plane was cleaned/refueled and headed back to Gatwick at 20:30.

My brother in law is a first officer with a private flyer in the US, said that the starting salary for a Captain on Euro budget airlines is on par with what a McManager earns.
