Took out my Lockheed booster to find out why my brakes act like there is no booster. Discovered the cap, filter, foam washer and spring are missing. Could this be my problem? Any Ideas on where I can get these parts? Moss is all NA on them. Thanks all.

Try Healey Surgeons , Power Brake exchange or Whit Post restorations.?

Power Brake Exchange is about $300 and they will not sell you the parts so you must have them rebuild your unit.

Hi Dan,

A while back I, was initially unable to acquire an air valve and could not complete the rebuild of my Girling brake booster. I replaced it with a Lockheed unit and although the booster performed well, it assist was not a substantial as I had grown to expect from the Girling booster. Eventually, I was able to acquire an air valve and completed the Girling booster rebuild and reinstallation. Although I believe your missing parts could be the source of your present problems and would contact those sources indicated by Keoke, I was also told that Hydroboost (https://www.hydroboost.com.au/) out of Australia, may be able to provide Lockheed parts, set performance expectations for your unit, and/or even supply an alternative PBR booster.

Hope this helps,
Ray (64BJ8P1)
