Hi, My problem started with a bad booster i bought a used one on e-bay changed the seals with a minor rebuild kit and proceded to rebuild my master cyliner while i was at it, bleed all four corners untill i was sure no air was trapped and the brake fluid was fully flushed out.I obtained a good brake feel but on todays test drive the brakes locked up, fronts smoking and brake pedal went hard all the way on the up position Can any one help figure this problem out and how do i fix it. Mike -- It's probably going to be helpful to mention what TR you have. Some have a restrictor valve, others a PDWA, etc.

On any car, take a look at the age/condition of the flex lines as a line can fail in such a fashion to hold pressure (like a check valve).

Adjustment of the master cylinder push-rod can also enter into the on some TRs. Could also be an incorrect assembly of the master cylinder.
 
Not knowing what vehicle you are speaking of, I can only relate to the same problem with my 7. As Geo mentioned; when I rebuilt my master cylinder, and put in a new cervo, I did not adjust the cervo piston, and it was keeping constant pressure on the brakes, thus causing leaking, and the calipers always pushing the pads on the roters. Anyway, I turned in the piston, and the brakes were like new. ( for a TR7 anyway. )
