I've been wanting to complete a total overall defragging and organization of all our stuff for about the last ten years. I started a few times but got sidetracked, postponed or overwhelmed. Last time I started was just before the wreck. I couldn't really do anything to it for the last three months due to my injuries but I can now finally do a little something even though my shoulder is still bothering me.

I've been pecking away at this lately and things are going well. It seems the log jam we have here is finally starting to move some. I'm taking some timeout to fix the stuff I'm coming across. I'm finding things I haven't used in years. Today I dug out the propane heater I first used when I lived above my old shop. I got it working again and now it will be used at our hunting camp. Recently the mosquitos here have been eating Kelly alive and we've had large swarms of them in the yard. Today I came across the juice that went in my propane insect fogger. I was worried I may have thrown the fogger aways years ago when it got in the way but I finally managed to dig it up. I was shocked it still worked, the last use was our wedding ten years ago. I juiced it up and fogged half the yard and the wife too. I don't think there is a bug with 500yards of the place. Those things work great but they are a bit pricey for what they are. Its cool to solve problems with stuff you already have that hasn't been working or accessible for a while. Its like getting stuff for free and best of all, it now works and I know where to find it. :triumphant:

A few other big things are starting to fall in place now also.

Cleaning out can be a big task. One of my brothers and I have been doing that at my mom's house. She fell and broke a shoulder and while she's been recovering we've taken the opportunity to go through stuff that has been accumulating for the 50 years since my folks built the place. She wasn't happy with all the stuff that went out, but had to be done at some point.

My grandmother didn't throw away anything. When we started cleaning out her place we came across a lot of stff that could have been thrown away decades ago. One of those things was paperwork. She kept ALL of her receipts in order of month/year ....dating all the way back to 1984. Want to know how much she spent at Walmart November 15 1986?... not a problem...

My maternal grandmother was the same way, when she passed on 20 years ago and we cleaned out we found things left over from her years teaching, which ended in the mid 60s as retirement. There were boxes of old papers students had done, and unused tests and quizzes, and on and on. Took several truck loads to get rid of everything that was nothing more than space wasting junk. Al least my mom came by it naturally....
