I see the Cars & Coffee pics posted here, from time to time. I know we have one in the Twin Cities, but I haven't really much had the inclination....

I was out to dinner with my daughter last night. When we returned to the car, this was on the windshield -->

(A side story) My daughter said, "I'm glad to see driving this car doesn't scare you. What does scare you? Does anything scare you?" I don't think she feels very safe in the TR3. I'm 0 for 2 with the females in my life. My partner calls it "the death trap," and won't go much farther than the local theater in it (approx. 1.5 miles).

So there's a reason NOT to attend?

That's my point. I wouldn't use that as the primary reason not to go at least one time.

doc, im with ya, if i cant find someone to go with me i go by myself and most times prefer it that way rather then having a "guest" complaining about how i drive, they have to go to the rest room, they need to eat, they want to go home early, etc.

Well, actually, I work every Saturday.
It's early enough, however, that I could attend and still get to my shop by my 11:00 AM Saturday opening time. I didn't know that before, but the flyer made that clear to me.

I do have some antipathy to this sort of thing, so I'm conflicted. I suppose I should follow the Doctor's advice and try it at least once. Basically, I don't view the car as entertainment or recreation. Cars are a necessary evil -- and becoming more evil as time passes. That being the case, I opt for a car that gives me more enjoyment than, say, a Honda Civic, but still don't use it for "joy rides." Going out to Chanhassen, just to point and say "cool" a lot, qualifies as the unnecessary sort of joy ride I don't really much care to do.

Awww, gowan, Len. Just th' once. A drop in th' proverbial bucket compared to Transocean's current contribution.
