Tie-rods arrived yesterday, the right size, but shorter, which messes up my marking for 'replacement is the reverse of removal'.
I replaced the speedometer whilst the seat was out, took the steering wheel off to make the contortion a little less painful; still painful, but only for 15 minutes.
Seat (repadded, comfy!) and wheel will go back in today, leaving me with putting the new needle and seats in the float chamber, tune 'em again, set timing and valves and I'm done!
Since I brought her in the garage in October, I've accomplished a massive amount of jobs, some major, most piddly little things that take up a great deal of time, but I could not have accomplished any of them without the help of you guys. Having the confidence going into a new and unknown world of mechanics knowing that you are all in here, is priceless!
