List of jobs - and a timeline.....

Tie-rods arrived yesterday, the right size, but shorter, which messes up my marking for 'replacement is the reverse of removal'.
I replaced the speedometer whilst the seat was out, took the steering wheel off to make the contortion a little less painful; still painful, but only for 15 minutes.
Seat (repadded, comfy!) and wheel will go back in today, leaving me with putting the new needle and seats in the float chamber, tune 'em again, set timing and valves and I'm done!

Since I brought her in the garage in October, I've accomplished a massive amount of jobs, some major, most piddly little things that take up a great deal of time, but I could not have accomplished any of them without the help of you guys. Having the confidence going into a new and unknown world of mechanics knowing that you are all in here, is priceless!

Always glad to help as we can Barry. As you have figured out by now this is our pasion.

Just an update, my super duper suction camera mount arrived today. This little brute will stick to anywhere on the car, and once set, doesn't budge, I even kicked it.
Anyway, it's totally portable and I took a quick vid from the boot lid, driver side door and bonnet.
NFI, but if anyone wants a camera mount without the rollbars and clamps, this thing is great; rated to hold an 8 lb camera up to 200mph. My camera is 2 lbs, and my midget will only do 150mph. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
BZ to speedypete BTW for finding it.

Glad to be of service! Good to hear it didn't break upon a good kicking. I'm sure you would have felt a right tit if you'd broken it straight out of the box...

Any links to the camera mount?

Er, yeah, forgot about that! They also stick well to helmets and motorcycle gas tanks Drew..
Suction mounts of various sizes and prices.
The one I got is the suction pod, it was just less than $70 after exchange rate and shipping.
Steve_S gave me a neat tip about tethering, get a 'backpack' strap and wrap it around the hand strap of the camera, and then secure the other end to the car; IF it comes loose (which I doubt it will), then it doesn't bounce away in your rear view mirror, shattering as it goes.
