Tony,
It's pretty straight forward if you have him take off the extruded part of the flywheel and make it a flat flywheel. It's the flange that goes around the clutch. Takes off about 7 Lbs.
Easy does it - heat is the enemy, too much or you can warp it so suggest you grind the last 1/4 to 1/8 off and surface the entire face once done. Most clutch shops have grinding machines for this reason.
I can do a drawing if you need it but it's pretty stright forward.
