Warming up here, already a balmy 14 degrees. Also snowing. Had a record snow fall last season, more than twice the average, and we are well ahead of that record pace now. Like Paul, just some indoor projects. I am thinking of rebuilding my rear hubs and replacing the half shaft u-joints before spring. Would like to install a headlight relay circuit too. Just too cold to do anything in the garage now.
Probably others are at a similar place and lack of projects under way might be leading to less chatter.

The Pontiac was a pain inna butt... little plastic "receiver" at the handle disintegrated and went to the bilge along with the actuating rod. A fifty cent piece and three hours of stickin' me mits thru access holes just a bit too small and not in the right places. All door trim removed, lots of naughty words as expletives. Thing looked like a Mechano set gone schitzo inside there. A bit of MacGyverin' needed (the NEW plastic clip disintegrated as I coaxed the clip over the rod!) with TIE-WRAPS (!)

While in there, I engineered a part for the "electric door locks" so they'd work again. Used some piece of steel from an old Atari chassis. Like ya NEED electric door locks. :shocked:
The Jeep was a cake walk: Pull'd the OP sensor, put a hard gauge in place, lit th' frippin' thing off and saw 60 pounds of oil pressure. Replacement sensor from NAPA and all's well. Got fed some excellent lunch (delivered by the Pontiac owner) while waiting for the OP switch to arrive. CABs fer bevvies and both lads saved a few quid by stopping by Chaos & Mayhem PTY, LTD.
Known both these fellas for decades, either would drop whatever they're into if I needed help... real friendships. We reciprocate.

I had on my "to do" list for today to run the MGB to warm it up this morning then change the oil and put grease in the all the fittings. But, it was 5 degrees above zero here this morning and my garage is not heated. So, I stayed inside, filled out out club's application for North American MGB Register membership, and took a nap.

Nice warm day here today. With temps finally reaching into th double digits ABOVE zero F. today I figured I would get some things done.Going on a road trip with my nephew Monday so I needed to hit the back whitch is 10 miles away. While I was out I thought I would run down to the Menard's store in Brainerd (28 miles from me) and get a random orbit sander. Light snow falling and gentle breezes with strong gusts thrown in just to make life more interesting. Got about 1/2 way to Brainerd and had to apply my brakes. OH OH. We had gotten a freezing trizzle before the snow began. Driving was fine. Braking wasn't. Got there and back in one piece in spite of id 10 t's (we were not allowed to use the word "idiot" on my last job) who insisted on riding my bumper. Now all I need if temps above freezing so I can use the sander.

about 71 here today...Took the wifes Mustang GT to the shop to but a new battery in it..but looked at the Kelmark and said to heack with it. Tossed the Ford in the fence, pput the wiener dog in the Kelmark and went for a drive. ...But as luck would have it the fuel pump started rattling so brought it home. Yesterday I was driving the 911 home and the 911 smoked the alternator
....would be a bummer but I have a spare...does bum me out though.

I just finished cleaning up the last of the 11 inches of global warming, oops, amend that to "climate change" that arrived overnight and continued through this afternoon.
I got to hang around on the Forum today because the city guys with the trucks play hide and seek with those who clean there driveways, making sure that they plow them shut right after they finish. I didn't have anywhere to go so I just waited them out and only got one blade pass blocking my otherwise clear driveway to the street access.
But more climate change is due tonight, so the fun begins again tomorrow when everyone gets plowed in, bright and early, just before heading out to work.
Such is life north of Dixie......
