Good morning chaps.
Anybody got any details or pics of RHD accelerator pedal to carburettor linkage, in particular the cross rod on the underside of the firewall.
Thanks again.
Al

My car was a US import converted to RHD. What exactly are you looking for.

Its a picture of the cross rod from the right hand bulkhead across the firewall.
The lever on the lhs has the rod to the overdrive throttle switch also.
AH spares and Ahead 4 don't do a stock item.
Found a decent diagram at Autofarm but pictures would be nice.
Thanks.

I can't get a camera down low enough to get a pic of the cross rod. Here's a pic of the right hand side. I don't have the overdrive throttle switch connected on my car. I just slip the clutch when I turn the OD on. Didn't like the thump it gave when engaging the OD.

Al - you don't say what model Healey this is for.

Looking at the Moss diagram for BN4 - BT7, the cross rod is the same. All you need differently is the RHD accelerator pedal assy.
Looks like the other LHD parts could be moved to the right side. You might have to notch the RH side of the cross rod for the clamp bolt.

BJ7/8 looks like you'll need a new cross rod.

Hi Steve , the car is a late BJ8 and I have now sourced a new cross rod from Ahead 4 Healeys.
I just need to move old components about and then refix to this.
Its the angles to fix at that is the tricky bit.
I,ll keep at it.
Thanks again!

Do you have the Bentley manual or an original?
Setup info is in section A37

Steve, yes, I have seen that and will do that when its all together. The cross rod purchased only has one bracket attached so I will have to dismantle the LHD one and reweld etc.to match the red arrangement.
Regards Al

If you are not concerned about originality I would suggest you consider installing a cable throttle system an ditching all that ā€˜Heath Robinson’ junk.
