Leyland Bus

Not really a British Car, but I did ride on an Adcock Leyland Bus last week at Bagram AB in Afghanistan. I would guess it was made in India or Pakistan. It was strange to see the Leyland symbol, same as on the BL house badge on my GT6, on a bus. :jester:

Tony, if your still there. Keep your head down

There used to be lots of those around here! From the 50' through the '70s most of the buses here used Leyland chassis with locally built bodies. By the late 80's there were almost none of them left. There was one of these sitting on the side of the road serving as a sandwich stand for years. I always wanted to take a picture but then one day it vanished and was replaced by a more recent bus.

Not at Bagram anymore, I'm out in the Desert at a USMC base in Afghanistan. No British vehicles here, but the diesel Toyota Surf 4x4s are all RHD.

Tony, Just a hello. Were with you in thought! Please be careful. PJ
