When the doors are closed and you look thru the gap you can see that the rear of the latch plate on the door is quite far from the front of the latch plate on the body. Although the latch mechanism is engaged there is much room for movment between the plates.
I know that the frame flexes and that changes with passenger load but I think it would be useful for the plats to be in close proximity to each other. The trick is getting it to be in the right place when loaded, and recognize that it will change based upon occupancy.
It is not so much of a rattle but a realization that the door gaps change over bumps and wondering how to mess with it to make it "better". Given the nature of the beast it is probably tilting at a windmill but tinker I must, or at least contemplate it, with feet propped up and ale in hand.
