lets start a debate.... would it be ethically wrong to stuff a 572 behind the driver, add a full frame and roll cadge, and add four wheel drive, to a classic mini, and make it appear stock? why do my friends think /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif im crazy?

wait... that kind of sounds like a monster garage pitch, why didnt they do that instead of the stupid snow machine?
(i like to think the 572 was out back then /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif)

You can do anything you want with your car... just like on Monster Garage. However, at some point the car stops being what its badges say it is.

thats true... so what if it was all stock exept for the engine/drivetrain? i think that it would still be a mini if those were the only two things added/swapped.

Well... there isn't much to a Mini apart from the body and drivetrain. Yes, if you were registering such a car you'd list it by the body... which would still be a Mini. However, I think that with the drivetrain gone it will be a Mini in appearance only.
