you know it almost insults me when ebay sellers think they have to go through a whole page on the cars history. Don't you think that most collector car buyers already know the cars HISTORY of the cars they're bidding on. sorry... get me another BEER!

Bibber, if your talking about the red one, he does state that it doesn't run but it rolls.
But, in general, I agree with your sentiments.

Bugeye58...sorry not the first the second..actually nice looking supposedly $15k miles so one would assume it runs and nicely...but just the point...like I said just one of those moments kinda like those B-----S on THE VIEW...sorry again..I better switch to some Jack!...

Aside from a few of the 'facts' being completely bogus, it is kinda like "how the watch was built"... excess to requirement.

Points to ponder:
By 1970 (actually with the Super-Safety versions in 1968-9) all Lotus cars were sent out the door with rocker switches in the dash.

Those wing mirrors are an abomination.

If it was as lovingly resto'd as claimed, the inside of the bootlid missed muster somehow.

It looks lovely in the photos except for the few red flags I've just mentioned.

...and unless the headlamp pods are forcibly held down, it runs: they default to the "up" position without vacuum. Mine typically stay down for about four or five hours after the engine has been switched off. The pre Super-Safety cars saw the vacuum holding the lights open.


EDIT: Three ear knock-offs are earrlier but commonly put on later cars by owners. The black commemorative nose badge was only for 1969, but date of sale may have been different than year of manufacture. Chassis number would NAIL it down. Only four digits after the series number (50), is my guess. 1782?

That's after mine and I have rockers and safety spinners. Much is "different" about that car.
